Kirsten Russell was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and began her dance journey at the age of ten. After completing high school, she continued her training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she developed a passion for choreography.

Her talent quickly gained recognition when she won the prestigious Capezio A.C.E. Awards, earning $15,000 to create her own full-length show in Los Angeles. Following this achievement, her work was showcased on NBC’s World of Dance. Today, Kirsten travels across the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America as a sought-after choreographer. She is also a beloved contemporary faculty member with Jump Dance Convention.
